Rochelle Park is a family-friendly community located in Bergen County, just four miles northeast of Passaic, New Jersey and twelve miles west of New York City. The township has a population of approximately 5,500 residents and an area of about one square mile. Though small in size, the township has an active community, a variety of recreation and educational programs for residents of all ages, and a convenient location that makes it a popular choice for families relocating to Bergen County.

The public library on West Passaic Street offers an extensive collection of reference materials, as well as programs for all ages throughout the year. Run by a Director and with a large amount of volunteers, the library offers reading contests, movies and story hours for younger children. The town sponsors social events for all ages for special occasions, such as a Valentine’s dance, Easter egg hunt, Christmas tree lighting and other festivals and parades during the year. The town’s Senior Center offers activities and social outings for Rochelle Park’s older residents.

Shopping, dining and entertainment options are plentiful throughout greater Bergen County. Rochelle Park residents are located just miles from Paramus, which is a center for retail in the region.

Outdoor and recreation enthusiasts will find numerous options around Rochelle Park, including several golf clubs located just a short distance from town.

The Midland School serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. High school students attend nearby Hackensack High School as part of a sending/receiving relationship with that district.
