The borough of Ramsey is located in the northeastern part of New Jersey in Bergen County, and has a population is approximately 14,350 residents. Just thirty miles from New York City, Ramsey offers its residents a quaint, small town feel just a short distance from one of the country’s largest metropolitan areas. There are numerous public parks and recreation options located in Ramsey, including 154 acres of Green Acres land and several hiking, horseback riding and walking trails. Ramsey residents enjoy an extensive transportation system that takes them to the rest of Bergen County, greater New Jersey and New York State. Ramsey is located close to several airports, including Newark, JFK and LaGuardia Airports for commercial travel, as well as nearby Teterboro Airport. 

The Ramsey Public School District serves students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Ramsey High School serves students in grades nine through twelve and also serves some students from neighboring Salle River as part of a receiving relationship with that district. Ramsey is also home to two private schools, which are St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Elementary School and Don Bosco Prep, a secondary school.
