For outdoors and recreation enthusiasts, there are numerous golf clubs located nearby. The Knickerbocker Country Club, White Beeches Golf and Country Club and Van Suan Park are all in close proximity to New Milford, and the borough’s location near many major roadways makes getting to other points throughout the County easy.

The New Milford School District serves students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. The district includes two elementary schools, one middle school and all students in grades nine through twelve attend New Milford High School.

The school system offers a variety of activities for students, including clubs, field trips and successful sports programs. In fact, the high school baseball team made it to the state semifinals in both 2004 and 2005.
