A borough in Bergen County, Midland Park has a population of approximately 7,000 residents. Midland Park was incorporated as a borough on September 6, 1894 from land taken from Franklin and Ridgewood Townships. Today, the neighboring municipalities of Wyckoff, Ridgewood and Waldoff border the borough.

Midland Park is an active community, offering nearly a dozen places of worship, good schools and numerous recreation programs and events throughout the year. The Midland Park Alliance is a community group that plans and coordinates events as part of an effort to provide healthy and educational activities for residents of all ages. There are events planned for nearly every month of the year, from snow tubing in January to little league in the spring.

The borough is conveniently located in central Bergen County. With numerous major roadways nearby, including Routes 4, 17 and 208, Interstate 80 and the Garden State Parkway, commuting throughout the borough is easy.

The Midland Park Recreation Department offers year-round activities for residents of all ages. Sports programs for children include baseball and softball, football and cheerleading, basketball, soccer, wrestling and tennis.

The Midland Park School District serves students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. The Goodwin School serves students in grades kindergarten through two, the Highland School serves grade three through six, and students in grades seven through twelve attend the Midland Park High School.

Midland Park was also the birthplace and childhood home of Johnny Vandermeer, a baseball legend and the only player in history to pitch two consecutive no hitters.
