With a population of approximately 4,750 residents, Harrington Park is a borough in Bergen County located just twelve miles from New York City. Much of the real estate in Harrington Park is comprised of single-family homes, with limited multi-family and town homes available. Harrington Park is ideally situated near the Palisades Parkway and in close proximity to the George Washington Bridge and Rockland County, New York.

Harrington Park is a quiet residential community with many streams and reservoirs, as well as parks and idyllic tree lined streets. A recent study by New Jersey Monthly ranked Harrington Park 7th out of 566 New Jersey towns based on criteria such as local economy, cost of living, education, crime and culture.

“Downtown” Harrington Park has a small town feel to it. There is a small market, a pizza parlor, several restaurants, a delicatessen, a Post Office, and several business offices.
There are five parks within Harrington Park, many containing playgrounds, jogging trails, athletic fields, tennis courts, ice skating ponds and a swim club. There are four golf courses all located within four miles of Harrington Park.

The Harrington Park School serves all students in kindergarten through eighth grade. High School students attend the Northern Valley Regional High School at Old Tappan. Both Harrington Park School and Northern Valley Regional High School at Old Tappan have been rated Blue Ribbon Schools by the State of New Jersey.
